For weighted pull-ups, placing a 45 pound dumbbell between the legs above crossed ankles works great.

3x10 GHD at #1 setting
and 3x15 ringdips
Pull ups RoM wasn't great and holding the DB was hard with the flat chrome plates. Hex db are easier to hold onto.
